Dominic was in the studio a few days ago and recorded two new songs. Where and when these will surface is not known at this point, but there is talk about a split of some sorts. Mathias (Angora Static) does a guest performance on the recording and the songs are a natural progression from last years LP. There is also talk about re-pressing the LP as it's more or less completely sold out now. The band will take a few months off playing live as their drummer, Øyvind, will travel to australia for a period.
There is nothing new from the Angora Static camp. They are all to busy with all sort of other things. Øystein is putting the finishing touch on his solo project 'le corbon'. Some demos has been posted here. Mathias will play guitar on the upcoming Snöras album that will also, besides of main-man Yngve, feature Mads from Kaospilot. Recording will start early october.
Speaking of Kaospilot. The band is finally putting the finishing touch on their new album. A few years in the works should have turned this into a masterpiece!
Funeral Diner has decided to call it quits. Many many years with endless touring and releasing records took its toll eventually. Adagio830 will release the doors open EP as a one-sided 12" later this fall and this will be the final Funeral Diner release.
There is a new The Birds Are Spies, They Report To The Trees interview up at shoot me again. This interview has up-to-date information about the band and could easily serve as the bands homepage at the moment.
Ape Must Not Kill Ape records will release a compilation CD entitled 'love life' which will feature a song from Water Rats. This band was a short-lived one that consisted of Øyvind (Dominic), Mathias (Angora Static) and myself. This was the only song we ever recorded. We hope to some day get together and finish this great adventure once and for all.
"when will you release something new?", "will you release my band?" and "can you put up a show for us?" are regular questions i hear all the time. Unless you know me in person, PLEASE DON'T BOTHER!!. The answers to the questions?? maybe never, probably not and no.
